I’ve lived in the Midwest my entire life, and I have a love for cowboy boots and country music. However, I am still “city” enough to have the need to live close to Starbucks and Target. I went to Drake University for undergrad, but one of my greatest accomplishments is earning my master’s in integrated marketing and communications from the University of Kansas in 2018. My family and I moved to Des Moines in the summer of 2018 and it has felt like home ever since, crazy weather and all! I have two boys, Christopher and Jameson, and two dogs, Ace and Margot. I have a passion for reading and you can always find at least one book in my car at ALL times. Traveling more often is on my bucket list, and my favorite trip of all time has been New Zealand – Lord of the Rings, anyone?! True nerd at heart. We also enjoy camping as a family and look forward to many camping trips in the upcoming years to many of Iowa’s beautiful state parks.
