How did I get here? I grew up competitively showing horses and became amazed by the investment people put into advertising. Showing horses made me understand the importance of hard work, dedication, and perfection. I graduated from Central College in the spring of 2020. While in school, I spent hours upon hours inside coffee shops, sparking my interest in the Creative Cloud. My years at Central rounded me out and expanded my horizons — literally, with a six-month study abroad experience and a graphic design internship in London. To sum it all up, I am a complete people person who can start a conversation with just about anyone. A few of my favorite things: yoga, traveling, patio season, and my goldendoodle, Evie. When I am not at Flynn Wright, you can find me at a coffee shop, trying the newest restaurant/brewery in DSM, riding my horse, or spending time with my family and friends. always keep things loud, lively, and full of carbs. After leaving for California following high school, I pursued my Hollywood aspirations in film and photography. However, after facing traffic on the 101 for a little over two years, I felt the pull of home and the Midwest-kindness guiding me back to Des Moines. Since returning, I've been fully immersed in the downtown scene for over a decade witnessing our city’s growth and transformation. It’s truly been an experience. When I'm not reluctantly singing along in performances my mother has voluntold me for, or expressing myself through art, you can find me out and about – exploring the city, enjoying weekly game nights with friends, and sharing laughs with family. I escaped that town to study film production at the University of Iowa. Go HAWKS! I’m also fascinated by animals, and basically have a zoo at my house. I have two cats, two dogs and a parrot. Even my vacations revolve around wildlife. I could win the lottery and wouldn’t show the same excitement as when I see a herd of elk in the mountains or fox cubs playing near their den or a praying mantis on a bike path. However, I am still “city” enough to have the need to live close to Starbucks and Target. I went to Drake University for undergrad, but one of my greatest accomplishments is earning my master’s in integrated marketing and communications from the University of Kansas in 2018. My family and I moved to Des Moines in the summer of 2018 and it has felt like home ever since, crazy weather and all! I have two boys, Christopher and Jameson, and two dogs, Ace and Margot. I have a passion for reading and you can always find at least one book in my car at ALL times. Traveling more often is on my bucket list, and my favorite trip of all time has been New Zealand – Lord of the Rings, anyone?! True nerd at heart. We also enjoy camping as a family and look forward to many camping trips in the upcoming years to many of Iowa’s beautiful state parks.
