Growing up on an acreage in Garner, Iowa, I was taught at a young age how important it is to improvise, adapt and overcome, and this philosophy has stuck with me ever since. From the butter sculpting contest at the Iowa State Fair (I won, by the way) to the track team at NIACC and the campanile at Iowa State where I proposed to my now wife, it’s a lesson that I’m always grateful to have learned.
Now, as a husband and father of three, I’m teaching my children the same principles through our own adventures filled with endless laughter and love. And when I’m not hanging out with my family, you can find me playing disc golf, biking, grilling, gardening, camping or working on one of my many home projects.
